used cars under Rs 15 lakh

Here we have to discussed about used cars under Rs 15 lakh that are fascinating and captivating. Along with the typical boring cars, there are also sometimes some really interesting ones. As aficionados, we’re constantly scanning our surroundings for interesting automobiles.

Yes, we have social media, but I’m sure there are others, like me, who browse through used car classifieds for a lot of time on sites like OLX, Cars24, Facebook Marketplace, etc. Along with the typical boring cars, there are also sometimes some really interesting ones. I’m going to start this discussion by enumerating some fascinating cars that are for sale in and around Mumbai (the names now have links to the adverts). Please post any intriguing vehicles you have discovered.

Why not add the TSIs to the market for pre-owned vehicles?
For instance, models from 2018 and after can be purchased for about Rs. 15 lakhs.

For instance, there haven’t been many complaints about the DQ200 gearboxes in used Skoda Superb and Octavia gearboxes failing.

This is what BHPian its ashish sharma thought about the situation:

It all began in late 2020. The Skoda Laura is a car that has had me swooning for months as a worthy, enjoyable project vehicle. It was simply too wonderful, costing about 5L for a decent secondhand automobile plus 3L for any necessary upgrades.

Days, weeks, and months went by, the drool lengthened and more stickier, the budget increased, and then all of a sudden a red BMW 1 series appeared in Chennai as a potential. Everything appeared right: the age, the mileage, the price range (12L). However, a 3er was available for an additional two to three lakhs. Why not, too? After all, a 3er is a true fantasy vehicle, isn’t it?

Therefore, for 15–17 lakhs, get a 320d and set aside about 3 lakh for any upcoming maintenance. Then, there were worries about the exorbitant expense of servicing German luxury cars that were more than seven years old and the car’s value at that point. The “itch” continued to increase, and with it came the drool and the budget.

I continued to browse, and more time went by. Then, in or around June 2021, a 2017 330i appeared in Mumbai. Its mileage was a respectable ~38k km. Since the asking price was roughly 28L, I was understandably apprehensive and looked at the listing for a few days without taking any action. The 330i was gone when, four or five days later, I plucked up the nerve to call the dealer.

A couple of weeks went by. Then I came across a white shadow edition 2018 330i M Sport. It was in a showroom for BMWs. only 23k kilometers, and 33L was the asking price. This one was a M Sport, the highest model, a year newer, and it had 14,000 fewer kilometers on it. After several discussions, the ultimate price was determined to be 32.50L. That was three years ago.

This is my tale of giving in to the itch and being thirty-three large ones poorer. Even though I adore her to the fullest, I believe that obtaining a cheap Laura/Octavia, taking care of any maintenance problems, and then customizing it is a far better method to satiate that itch than purchasing an expensive German luxury saloon that didn’t require any repairs or modifications. It would have brought me great pleasure to spend that time investigating those modifications. Bit by bit, love for the machine would have grown. There’s an allure to maintaining an antique car because you get to know it like a friend. Furthermore, a VAG car offers the most customization options available in India.
