The facelifted Gloster SUV will soon be available for purchase in India, according to MG Motors India.

The company has begun testing it on Indian roads ahead of its anticipated unveiling by next year, as the heavily camouflaged MG Gloster SUV was recently sighted.

When the Gloster SUV prototype was being tested, it featured thick covers covering its whole body, which suggested that the outside might see some significant modifications. Although the vehicle is a direct competitor of the Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner, the manufacturer has not yet disclosed all of the features of the SUV.

The three-row SUV was covered in camouflage, but some of its features were visible when the pictures went viral. These included side steps, a rear wiper with washer, a roof spoiler with an integrated high-placed stop lamp, dual exhaust tips, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and ORVMs mounted on the doors.

MG GLOSTER SUV: FEATURES AND ENGINE

A new bumper, repositioned reflectors, and reworked taillights are likely on the company’s list of outward improvements that will give the facelifted MG a new look, even with the thick concealment. In addition, it is anticipated that the inside will undergo some modifications to make it more appealing, including new dashboard components, color schemes, and updated amenities.

Regarding the MG Gloster SUV’s engine, the manufacturer will provide the same choices: a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 161 horsepower and 375 torque, or a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine with 215 horsepower and 480 torque. There are no petrol engines available, even though the engines are mated to an 8-speed automated transmission.

A 360-degree parking camera, a 12-speaker sound system, a panoramic sunroof, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), a power driver’s seat with heating and ventilation, and a host of additional features are already standard on the MG Gloster.

MG GLOSTER LAUNCH
Even though the MG Gloster makeover is anticipated to hit Indian shores in 2024, it will still compete in the full-size SUV market with the likes of Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner.

Remarkably, the MG Gloster made its debut in the Indian market in 2020 as a strong competitor to the sector leaders, the Ford Endeavour and the Toyota Fortuner, even if the Gloster SUV was still a little more affordable than the two cars.
