Axis Bank contributes Rs 300 billion to the NCD offering by CESC

According to a statement released on Thursday by its legal counsel, JSA, private sector lender Axis Bank has invested Rs 300 crore in Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) issued by electricity provider CESC.

According to the release, the third-largest private sector lender has purchased unlisted, secured NCDs issued by CESC.

CESC, a subsidiary of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, generates and distributes electricity in Kolkata, Howrah, and surrounding areas. On the BSE on Thursday, the CESC share price ended 0.19 percent higher at Rs 88.59 per share.
