In the first half of 2024, Gogoro’s battery swapping network will be implemented in Pune and Mumbai.

Gogoro, a developer of battery-swapping networks for electric vehicles (EVs), has launched its CrossOver line of electric scooters in India. Additionally, the organization has established a battery-swapping network for business-to-business (B2B) companies in Delhi and Goa.

In the first half of 2024, Gogoro’s battery-swapping network will be implemented in Pune and Mumbai, with consumer availability following in the second quarter of the same year.

The CrossOver GX250, CrossOver 50, and CrossOver S are the three versions of the CrossOver series. The CrossOver 50 and the CrossOver S will go on sale in 2024, while the made-in-India CrossOver GX250 is already on the market.

The CrossOver GX250, which is made in Maharashtra, has an innovative all-terrain frame. The electric scooter boasts the highest ground clearance of any Gogoro vehicle in their current portfolio at 176mm.

With a certified range of 111 kilometers and a top speed of over 60 kmph, the CrossOver GX250 uses a 2.5 kW Direct Drive.

With its new mounting point expansion system that has 26 locking points, the electric scooter offers plenty of storage choices. It can make use of the platform design headlamp, foot, seat, and rear cargo sections, among other four cargo areas. To increase cargo space, the rear seat can be folded up or removed.

In August, the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) validated the CrossOver GX250. According to Gogoro, in November it became the first two-wheeler firm based outside of India to receive recognition from the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), allowing the CrossOver GX250 to be eligible for EV financing schemes.
