About one lakh reservations for the Hyundai’s most economical SUV, have already been made. The automaker began taking orders from customers in May, even though the micro-SUV was just introduced in July.

The ex-showroom price range for the Hyundai Exter is Rs 6.15 lakh to Rs 10.15 lakh. It competes with vehicles such as the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Tata Punch.

Hyundai has dispatched 31,174 Exter units in the domestic market between July and October, which is a respectable start in terms of volume.

In July, Hyundai sold 7,000 Exter units; in August, 7,430 units; in September, 8,647 units; and in October, 8,097 units.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hyundai Motor India Tarun Garg revealed that the number of Exter reservations has now approached one lakh during a special media conference.

According to Garg, sunroof versions have earned 78% of bookings, while high-end trims account for 31% of total bookings.

The 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder Kappa petrol engine in the Hyundai Exter produces 113.8Nm and 83PS. The 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT transmissions are the two available options. In addition, the SUV is available with a CNG option that generates 69PS and 95.2Nm when combined with a 5-speed MT.

Regarding fuel efficiency, it is stated that the Exter MT provides 19.4 km/l, the Hyundai Exter AMT 19.2 km/l, and the Exter CNG 27.1 km/kg.

The Hyundai Exter’s exterior design includes a shark fin antenna, front and rear skid plates, LED projector headlamps, distinctive H-LED taillamps, bridge-style roof rails, and 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The car’s interior features metal pedals, footwell lighting, leatherette upholstery, a black 3D pattern finish on the dash, and a leather-wrapped gear knob and steering wheel. A voice-activated motorized sunroof, a dual-camera dashcam, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, and a cooled glove box are among the segment-first features it also gets.

The Exter has six airbags, cruise control, automatic climate control, an 8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system that works with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital indicator cluster with a 4.2-inch colored TFT MID, and seatbelt reminders for every seat.
