The first electric vehicle from Maruti Suzuki, the eVX, will be released alongside two other high-profile models early in 2019. The biggest automaker in India, Maruti Suzuki, is prepared for 2024 with a ton of new releases scheduled for the year. Next year will see the release of the company’s first electric vehicle, the eVX, as well as the new Swift and Dzire models. Let’s have a look at the new Maruti Suzuki vehicles that will go on sale in India in 2024.

1. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift
The most popular hatchback in India is set to debut in early 2024 with a new powertrain along with a number of cosmetic enhancements. This is the fourth generation model. The hatch was seen in near-production shape during the 2023 Japan Mobility Show and was the subject of recent spy testing in India. A new pair of LED headlamps and L-shaped integrated LED DRLs will be included in the package, along with an aggressively styled front fascia.

Along with a new 9-inch freestanding infotainment system, a new instrument console, automated HVAC, and other features, the interiors will get an overhauled dashboard arrangement. With a hybrid option, the new Z12E 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine, which produces up to 150 Nm of peak torque and 100 horsepower, may be available for the 2024 New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Swift. The manufacturer claims that the modified hatch will have a maximum fuel efficiency of 24.50 km/l.

2. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Maruti Suzuki will make its sedan counterpart, the Dzire, debut in the Indian market after the release of the new-generation Swift. The compact sedan, which is anticipated to go on sale in the middle of 2024, will have greater boot space and be longer than the new Swift.

It will also share the Swift’s chassis, engine, and features. Its hatchback counterpart’s front profile will be similar, but the rear end design will be different. Included in the package will be the new Z12E 1.2-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine, which can produce 100 horsepower and 150 Nm of peak torque.

3. Maruti Suzuki eVX Electric SUV
By the end of 2024, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the eVX, a foray into the electric vehicle sector, to the Indian market. The electric SUV made its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo in India, and in November of that same year, it was first spotted being tested there. Situated atop a recently developed all-electric skateboard platform, the eVX will share it with a number of planned Maruti-Toyota electric vehicles.

The production-spec vehicle’s length and wheelbase will be 4.3 meters and 2700mm, respectively. The business has disclosed that there will be two battery pack options for the EV: a 48 kWh unit that can reportedly travel 400 kilometers on a single charge, and a larger 60 kWh battery that can travel 550 kilometers.

In the Indian market, the eVX will compete against vehicles such as the Mahindra XUV400 EV, Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, and the soon-to-be Hyundai Creta EV.
